School Tours
A visit to the Camarillo Ranch Museum is the perfect
way to supplement a unit on local history, Camarillo history,
agricultural history, architecture and more. We can accommodate
up to 60 people per tour. Bringing a bus of 60? No problem! Your
group will be split in half and will be finished within 15 minutes
of each other.
Cost: Grades K - 8, $1.00 per student $3.00 per adult, 1 complimentary
adult ticket per 30 students
Museum Guidelines: Please go over the following guidelines with
your students before your visit.
- Touching is not allowed. Since we receive nearly 16,000 visitors
per year, that's a lot of fingerprints! Fingerprints deposit oils
from your hands which help destroy the artifact.
- Please do not sit on any of the furniture. It is all old and
very delicate.
- Food, drinks and gum are not allowed inside the house museum.
In addition to the obvious problems of stains, these items attract
bugs which then eat the artifacts.
- Backpacks should remain on the bus. If you choose to bring them
with you, they will need to remain on the front porch of the museum.
The group will be inside many of the rooms and it is easy to accidentally
bump into artifacts with backpacks.
