Tales at the Ranch: The Restless Hillfillies

Join us on Wednesday, June 19th at 7:00 pm for a performance by The Restless Hillfillies. The Restless Hillfillies were voted the #1 Folk/Bluegrass band in the 2012 VC Music Awards. Their music can be described as Americana with a dash of bluegrass, folk, swing and old timey sound.

With years of research and oral interviews of pioneer families and local historians in an historical preservation project called Turn Back the Pages, these Ventura County songwriters have penned a slew of wonderful songs. The band has even written a song about the love story of Adolfo and Isabel Camarillo. A fine article about the history songs can be read online in the VC Star.

Bustin’ out of the stalls are seasoned Americana musicians: Mary Z. Wilson, Rosie Tower, Karen Orser, Barney Tower, and Dan Wilson. You’ll get your toes a-tappin’ with a smile in your heart. Their acclaimed CD of story songs will be available at the event. To learn more about the band, visit their website at www.restlesshillfillies.com.

The event will take place at 7:00 pm in the Big Red Barn, followed by an ice cream reception. Victorian House Tours and the Gift Shop will also be open from 6:30 – 7:00 pm before the performance. Admission is $5 for the general public and free to Camarillo Ranch members.
